Vadum, Inc. reports another year of success in the Department of Defense (DoD) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) with three Phase I and three Phase II awards. New Phase I programs included a vision-based motion sensor for UAS ground operations, a high power (10 kW) radar power amplifier design, and application of Vadum cognitive electronic warfare technology to a maritime sensor platform. The Phase II programs continued the development of Vadum products for Army and Air Force customers. Army awards continued the maturation of vibration-enhanced low-metal content mine detection and a software decision aid to improve situational awareness during chem-bio attacks. The Air Force Phase II saw the development of an aircraft tire valve stem replacement product to improve aircraft and maintenance personnel safety while reducing maintenance and operational costs.
