DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

As a DevOps Engineer you will work in a team to develop the environment and infrastructure necessary to power the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model for multiple product releases. Speed and automation improvements are critical as we have multiple development teams and integration teams supporting multiple customers and projects. DevOps Engineers have the opportunities to collaborate across Engineering, Information Technology, and Quality Assurance team boundaries to implement the tools and processes needed to accelerate innovation for the organization.

  • Manage, maintain and monitor the automated build processes
  • Create and document release packages
  • Configure and Control release packages
  • Maintain the software and hardware configuration of our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test set
  • Maintain software baseline across our classified and unclassified development
  • Facilitate software change control board (CCB)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • BS degree in engineering, computer science, physic or related technical field
  • 5 years or more of experience on aerospace platforms or similar highly regulated products

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Linux system administration
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, CMake, GTest, Git
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, C/C++
  • Experience working on a DevOps team
  • Administration experience with tools for CI/CD, bug tracking, version control, and build automation

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer

Vadum Inc. is seeking a highly motivated senior electronic hardware design engineer with a strong technical background in architecting leading-edge system solutions, developing high-performance circuitry, testing and evaluation, and designing for environmental and manufacturing variations.  This person will play a key role in the development of complex RF sensors, specialty tools and equipment, and electro-mechanical products for military applications. The position requires creativity, initiative, analytical thinking, solid organizational abilities, and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective interactions with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of development life cycle (requirements, systems and circuit design, integration, evaluation, and manufacturing activities).
  • Work in a matrixed team environment to define, lead, design, and take ownership of end-to-end solutions for advanced R&D projects.
  • Assist in writing technical proposals and calculating estimates in support of applied research.
  • Independently develop solutions such as embedded systems, motor control, data converters, signal conditioners, power converters, and signaling interfaces with accommodations for mechanical assembly integration.

Signal Processing- Machine Learning- AI Engineer/Scientist

Vadum is seeking a Signal Processing Engineer/Scientist to develop machine learning and complex signal processing algorithms. The individual should be capable of playing a key role in a variety of machine learning and algorithm development for next-generation applications; in radar, communications, and electronic warfare.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Participate in the development of innovative detection, estimation and classification algorithms and techniques for advanced applications.
  • Develop signal processing algorithms, waveforms and techniques that exploit and optimize radar, radio and EW architectures that take advantage of advanced radio frequency and processing technology.
  • Perform concept and performance trade studies and demonstrate developed capabilities for streaming data applications.
  • Develop prototype, and test sensor models and signal processing algorithms in detailed high-fidelity simulations written in C/C++, and MATLAB.
  • Operate with broad direction and minimal supervision.
  • Interact with customers and development partners.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, must be able to communicate and document, prepare and give briefings to Program managers.
  • Develop and prototype algorithms.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (such as C/C++, MATLAB, Python, Simulink).
  • Ability to contribute in a team environment to develop creative solutions to technical challenges.

This person must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate and explain design decisions. This person will play a key role in development of machine learning and data fusion applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (requirements analysis, high level design, detailed design, coding, unit test, integration, system level test).
