Description

Summary/objective

Vadum, Inc. is seeking an experienced Program Manager that will be responsible for the technical, financial, schedule performance, and customer satisfaction and overall execution of assigned programs.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute a program plan with engineering leadership that is consistent with the program budget, requirements, deliverables and aligns with the overall business area strategy.
  • Manage the overall program execution, actively mitigate risks to the program and promptly resolve issues that are impacting program performance.
  • Be the primary customer interface and ensure that contract deliverables are delivered on time.
  • Help grow the business by defining a growth/transition strategy for each assigned program; manage and actively engage with the customer base to drive achievement of the plan.
  • Present formal and informal project status/plan briefings to the customer and corporate management through oral and written communications.
  • Help mentor the technical team and lead select efforts to standardize best practices across the company.
  • Actively participate in program definition and capture for existing and new customers.
  • Lead proposal and/or capture efforts as assigned and ensure timely and successful delivery.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:

  • US Citizenship with Security Clearance eligibility.
  • Extensive knowledge of software systems and programming languages.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in a technical leadership or program management position for defense R&D software programs with experience in supervising personnel, technology assessment, systems design, system analysis, managing multiple technical programs including budgetary responsibility, planning and estimating work loading requirements, acquisition planning, communicating and interfacing with government customers.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer science, Mathematics, Physics or related field required.

  • At least 3 years of management experience or the ability to demonstrate management capabilities through equivalent leadership experiences.

System Architect

Description

Vadum, Inc. is seeking a System Architect that will be responsible for working closely with Chief Engineers and key technical team members to understand and optimize the technology underpinning core Vadum products and coordinating technology implementation within algorithm and product teams within a business area.

HDL Engineer

Description
Company Overview

Vadum is seeking a highly motivated mid-to-senior level engineer with a strong background in HDL programming. This position will play an active role in every phase of the FPGA development cycle, including the design, installation, and troubleshooting of the firmware used to design FPGA based hardware systems and their components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, debug, and maintain modules within complex FPGA designs.
  • Debug of HDL designs within simulation, development of testbenches and stimulus/emulation logic.
  • Deliver to objectives including meeting deadlines and schedule.
  • Adapt systems quickly to meet changing business needs.
  • Write scripts and conduct testing through root cause analysis and debugging resolution.
  • Handle testing, system performance, environmental and system troubleshooting.
  • Understand hardware/software interfaces and collaborate with firmware engineers.
  • Maintain and improve existing designs and source code to help attain the goal of a modular structure within a fast-paced, collaborative, design environment.
  • Use Matlab and other similar tools to generate accurate models, data sets and coefficients for analysis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and serve as a technical resource to the team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or relevant field required.
  • Relevant experience required: BS, 6-10 years or MS, 5-8 years or PhD, 4-8 years.
  • Maintain US Citizenship.
  • Maintain Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital hardware.
  • In depth knowledge and use of VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog HDL languages.
  • Use of Xilinx Vivado FPGA design toolchain including ILAs, and other hardware debugging tools.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to work and communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong HDL programming and code writing skills.
  • Experience with testing, validation, and debugging tools.
  • Experience and know how to use Matlab and other similar tools to generate accurate models, data sets and coefficients for analysis.
  • Experience with Linux operating procedures is a plus.
  • Experience with timing analysis, pipelining, floorplanning, and constraints implementation to close timing within complex FPGA hardware designs a plus.
